What is a bureau service?
Bureau Services are typically for larger organisations who already have, or plan to obtain, a Service User Number (SUN) from Bacs. Having your own SUN gives you more flexibility and means you are formally registered with Bacs.
Normally, you will need a turnover in excess of £1m a year to be granted your own SUN by your bank. If you meet the criteria, we can help you apply for your SUN.
Working with our bureau service means you maintain full control of the amount collected, while we ensure your customer data is protected and your Direct Debit collections are optimised so you get paid quickly and accurately.
A bureau service is different to a facilities managed service.
How does it work?
We call our bureau service Access PaySuite Accelerate and it means you benefit from automated Bacs submissions and optimised Direct Debit collections whilst removing the risk of managing it all yourself.
We link to your Service User Number to process submissions on your behalf, and pick up and apply Bacs reports taking action on incorrect details, amendments, cancellations and unpaids, so you don't have to.
You can also set up online Direct Debits with our bureau service, enabling your customers to pay by electronic Direct Debit via your website, emails or via an app.
